Tomato Onion Chutney

Goes Best With: Dosa/Idli

Tomato onion chutney recipe with detailed video recipe. A popular south indian chutney that is mainly served for idli, dosa and even for pongal rice. 

Ingredients:

1 Big Onion (Chopped)

3 Medium Tomato (Chopped)

Salt – 2 Teaspoon

Mustard Oil – 2 Tablespoon

Mustard Seeds – 1 Teaspoon

Urad- 1 Teaspoon

Kashmiri Chilli Powder  – 1 Teaspoon

Turmeric Powder  – 1 Teaspoon

Directions:

* Heat mustard oil in a pan. 

* Add chopped onions and saute well.

* Add Chopped Tomatoes and Mix Well.

* Close the lid and cook well.

* Let it cool down.

* Grind it in the mixxer.

* Heat another Pan.

* Heat mustard oil.

* Add Mustard Seeds and wait until it pops open.

* Add Urad.

* Add Turmeric Powder and Kashmiri Chilli.

* Add the mix to the chutney.

* Add Heeng.

* Add Salt.
